The CELT test manual cannot be used, reproduced, or stored in any database, for it is copyrighted material. How the CELT Works Step one: The student formally request the test and pays a $50.00 testing fee Step two: The student will be issued a test booklet. Step three: The student may review the test to make sure that they understand the testing procedure and to review words that may not be familiar to them. Step four: Using only a notepad and calculator begin testing. Step five: Having completed the testing, the student and observer must both sign the statement verifying that the test was taken appropriately. The test should then be returned to CELT for grading. Step six: The test will be carefully graded. All grading will be done by someone with an earned degree, and not by support staff. Step seven: A report will then be issued to the student along with finance statement for the amount of credit the student has earned. Step eight: Upon payment the student will be provided 2 official transcripts. Financial Information $50.00 Administration Fee at the time the test is issued $10.00 For each hour of course credit passed on the test. (Ex. a course worth 3 credit hours would carry a service charge of $30.00) $5.00 For each additional transcript Acceptance of credit from an outside source is always the option of the college or university, and CELT cannot guarantee the credit will be received by all institutions of higher learning, but will work on the students behalf to mediate with new universities.
